DAUGHTER

My daughter just turned one on the 25. This is why I didn't blog for so long. I know this is not about gaming, but I could not let it go. We had the party on Saturday, which I had been cleaning for for aver a week, hence, no blog. Now I'm sure many of you don't really care about the fact that my daughter just turned one, well then, fuck off. It was a pretty good party, there were a lot of people there and everything went pretty well. The one thing that happened was one of my friends got sick and I had to take him t the emergency room. He is ok but he has to go see his family doctor. I won't go into it anymore than that. Back to my daughter. She really enjoyed herself at the party. When it was over, she was exhausted. she went right out. Now on to something else.

I just started playing a flash based internet game called Evony. Considering the fact that it's a free game, it's pretty good. I have only been playing the game for about a day, but it is pretty fun.It is a little bit like a real time strategy. You build stuff and armies. The difference is that when you aren't playing, the game keeps going, and all your thing keep building and gathering resources. If you're interested, you should search it on the google search bar on this page, if not, then oh well. What else? If you haven't already, then go check out Zero punctuation, if you don't, then you are a fucking retarded you should disappear from the face of the earth. I'll be back soon with some type of relevant information. See Ya.

Random

I have this problem. Sometimes I can be a little indecisive. Like for instance in D&D. My current character is a warlock/exemplar. At the beginning, I was a straight fighter. It was only a short time into the game that I realized I couldn't possibly go through a game without the use of spells, so I retrained to the warlock. Now I've realized that I need to take sorcerer levels to get a really good prestige class, so I'm now going to retrain the exemplar levels and a few warlocks to even it out so I can take the class. Now, on to other things.

D&D 4.0. In one of my earlier posts I claimed that 4th edition would be the ruin of D&D,let me revise this statement.... not at all. I still say that 4th edition is the most retarded fucking thing I have ever seen. They changed the game so drastically that long-time players of the game need how-to guides to learn the new rules. I know that companies need to make money, but to totally change the game in favor of getting a new crowd of followers, instead of being loyal to long time players, is unbelievable. whoever thought that this was good practice, should be hung  up with some barbed wire and left to bleed to death slowly. If that is harsh, then fuck off, you should be right there with him. So now there are only five alignments and each class has powers and paragon paths and this bullshit. They take the wizard, the most versatile spellcaster, and due to the fact that you have to choose a specific path, you can only use certain spells. The wizard is now a total fucking waste of time. Where the wizard was a character who got his spells from great training and knowledge, now just like all the other classes he has different power types. Bullshit. Whatever. Fuck. End.

I finally got my computer desk set up. Now I don't have to go into the fucking kitchen to use my computer. No more uncomfortable chair. Very good. Now I just need to get some type of game that isn't a total piece of shit.

bandwidth

I don't know about you guys, but I like to play games online. In some games, it is the only reason to play. Do you love your online gaming, your World of Warcraft, First person shooters, all the games you can play with your friends from far away, It's something that allows you to meet new people and all that wholesome goodness. It's also a place where you can destroy your enemies in online competition and belittle them with a good teabag, if your into that sort of thing. Now the problem becomes this, Will you still have the ability to play these games If many of the big ISP's get there way. Comcast, Verizon, and others are trying to get a bill passed to put bandwidth caps on there services. so that means you can only use a certain limited amount of the internet. If these caps are put in place, it would make online gaming pretty much impossible, your downloads would go slow and your internet time would be limited. What it comes down to, is bullshit. They don't have the right to do things like this. So what are you gonna do when you one day find that your not able to connect to battle.net or another game server, because it exceeds your bandwidth limit, or even some websites. Are you gonna be pissed, I'm guessing you will be. In fact, I'm guessing you will be asking yourself, What the fuck is going on? That is because you don't know what is going on in your prefered entertainment industry. Even though reading about game politics might piss you off, you should still do it, just to know the current state of your prefered passtime. Keeping track of people like Jack Thompson and the like just makes you more aware of what is going on, even if it does have the ability to incite rage in gamers across the world. Oh, and even though it's a little late, the fact that Jack Thompson got humiliated by Take 2, and then disbarred, makes me a very happy person, and it's hilarious.

The Tabletop

Well, I said this blog was about games, not just video games. My friend has a blog, which is linked on this page, in which he just talked about D&D in his last post, so he will most likely call me a copycat. While his post did inspire me to write about it, this will be different in nature than his. My purpose today is to tell people who may not know much about D&D, what it is, and maybe talk a little about what I've done in the game. D&D is a tabletop rpg which, in my opinion, is the most expansive rpg in the world, bar none. It's based on a d20 dice system. The d20 is used to roll on attack reflexes and pretty much everything. Based on your characters abilities, you may or may not add a specific number to your roll. The rules are too complex to go into all of them in this blog. The thing is, I love video games, and rpg games that are on them, but they don't have 1/25 of the content of D&D.

One of the things I like the most in D&D is the pure amount of spells in the game. I have a fighter/wizard in one game and my spell list is close to 200, and that is not even half of the spells in the game. And the best part is, there is something for everyone. A wizard can be the most versatile character in the game. With my character, there is pretty much no situation I can't handle because, don't forget, he's also a fighter, so he can handle up close fighting. The really awesome thing is that I specialize in fear. There is no one I can't make run from me if I choose to make him. I can even kill with fear.

This brings me to my next point, multi-classing. This is something that can't be done in most video game rpgs, except Elder scrolls, which is the best rpg out there, but that is another post. And even in that game, it is so limited compared to D&D. You can mix almost any two classes in the game, which is awesome. Shit, my women is yelling at me, time to go.

My next D&D post will be to bitch about fourth edition, which is the ruin of D&D. Bye.

2010 Taurus SHO

This caught my interest. I am a Ford fan. Pretty much the only American car company I care about is Ford. The other companies I like Are all European; Mercedes, Audi, and the all powerful Ferrari. That being said, I have never cared for the Ford Taurus, any version. I've always thought of it as one of the ugliest cars in the world, and remember, I am a Ford fan. But now, they have finally made the Taurus worth my time. They actually made the damn thing look good with the SHO edition. Not to mention the fact that this four door sedan has a 3.5 liter V6 twin turbo with 365 Hp, a nice all wheel drive set up, and is being compared to cars like the BMW 535xi, and its $16,000 less at $38,000. Ford is doing a great job lately with there lineup, but this thing is awesome. I have a family, and I also have a great aprreciation for fast cars, and this fits in quite nicely as a car that has both. If your interested, go look at it on the ford website, if your not, then don't, but I say again this thing is awesome, the first Taurus ever that holds appeal to me.

Zero Puctuation Day

For those of you that don't know, today is the day you can watch a new Zero Punctuation episode on escapistmagazine.com. If you don't care then you are a retard and shouldn't be reading this post, bitch. Now, in a the last post I talked briefly about the fact that zero punctuation is fucking awesome. What I meant to say is that he is my internet hero, in a totally hetero-sexual way. No, seriously I'm not gay. The point is that I will make a habit of talking about what game he talks about every Wednesday. If you don't like it then fuck off. Once again you shouldn't even be here.

This week zp did ghostbusters, which I personally had little to no interest in, but it was still funny. He talked about the fact that even though the game came from a great movie, that does not mean the game will actually be good. And this is obviously true, just look at  the fantastic four games, they sucked balls. Not to mention that the movies weren't even that good, except for Jessica Alba, obviously. But back to the point. I don't want to talk endlessly detailing every word he said, what I want is for you to go check that stuff out for yourself. So do it. The link is on the page, on the right side under the whoring header. So go! Dammit.

Why are you still here? Do you want me to talk about something else? Let's see, just think of the most vulgar thing in the world, very disgusting, and that's what I'm doing to your mother right the hell now. See ya.

Good Stuff

Well now, I don't even know what to talk about. It doesn't seem that I have any material. Strange. Hasn't anyone pissed me off today? Well of course they have, but I'm not about to write about every moron that incites my rage during the day, it would get a little redundant  after a while, wouldn't it? Ok so given the fact that I can't think of anything to write about, I'll talk about some websites that I like to frequent.

Well to start off, if haven't ever heard of zero punctuation, you need to go and watch all of his videos, because they are awesome. This is one of the basic truths of the world. ZP is the shit. If you don't like his stuff, I'm pretty sure you are a retard, but that is another point entirely. Basically what he does is reviews games, but it is done in what I find to be the funniest damn thing on the internet. I will put the link up after I write this. He's probably the only person that can totally trash your favorite game and you will love him for it, that is if your not a bitch.

Actually I just realized that this shit is boring, lets find something else to write about. Hmm. Oh I got it, lets talk about the art of being a fanboy, one of the many things that piss me off. Fanboyism is basically when someone has this attitude; this is better because I have it. The y refuse to look at facts and they never use rational thought. Here's an example. Last week I went into a Game Stop and proceeded to carry on a conversation with him about the Playstion 3 and if it possible to find out if the used one I was looking at had the emotion engine in it. He said you really couldn't unless you had the serial number and looked it up. At this point the conversation is fine. I said I was thinking of getting one, but I already have a top notch gaming Pc. He then said that he won't play most computer games because they don't use blue ray and the hardware doesn't compete. What the Fuck!? What is he talking about. the graphics card in the goddam ps3 is like five years old, you could buy a better one for less than a hundred bucks, and blue ray! Don't even get me started. The plain fact is that he wasn't using logical thought. If he was, he would realize that the hardware out now for the pc is highly superior to the ps3 and the 360, not to mention the fact that the ps3 rarely displays games higher than 720p, whereas the 360 almost always does 1080p, and if I could afford the monitor, my computer can do 1600p.

This is the type of behavior behind these "console wars". Which are mother bitching stupid. I Prefer my pc, which is obviously better as far as graphics and gameplay go, but they can be expensive. Although I think in the long run they are not. But there are people in forums that will do nothing but talk shit on the opposing console and its games, regardless of the content, which is son of a bitching stupid. I don't know about you fanboys, I think you should look more at the facts and stop making yourself look retarded.

I commend anyone who had the stomach to read this entire entry of psychotic ranting.

What movie did I get the phrase "mother bitching" from?

Anti-video game retards

Now this one is for the game fans. Have you ever noticed how people like to blame video games for the problems of society. It seems to be a growing trend among religious types and conservative politicians to bash video games for anything from school shootings to teen depression. Right now I'm listening to an audio file basically talking about how "addiction" to video games is causing aggressive behavior and defiance against the children's parents, if in fact the gamer happens to be a child. What they refuse to even contemplate is that the parents might not be doing there jobs. I challenge you, and by that I mean anyone, to show me any relation to violent video games and the violence in society, from any demographic. They talk a lot about how video games are "programming" our kids to be desensitized to violence and makes them more violent. I have been playing video games for over twenty years, I don't have an overly violent personality. What I don't get is this, how are these games teaching kids or anyone else to use a gun. Do they show a diagram on how to load it, fire it, and become a good marksmen? No. Is there truly a correlation between violent video games and violence in real life? Not really. I've seen many studies that apparently show this correlation, and I see things like a whopping 4%, Or if you really wanna get serious, 8%. Even if had no stake in this, due to my love of video games, from a purely scientific standpoint, that means nothing, because if you do the same test on people who watch tv OR read the bible, you will get the same results. My point is that people have problems, and it is not unrealistic to think that 1 in 10 people in all of society have violent tendencies. These hardcore conservatives are ridiculous. Many of the people who speak about the evils of video games have no context because they have never even played one. These people have no lives. They move around with there causes just so they have a purpose in there lives. Have your causes, but look at the facts, its not your job to tell me what I can or cannot do. It's not your job to tell me that video games are causing the downfall of society. What was the reason for violence and all the bad stuff before video games? And Please, once again, thickheads, give me some hard examples, something with substance. Ahh, but I digress. Form your own opinions people, don't let others form them for you. Done.

Sacred 2

Don't you just love finding a new game that you really like. Something really special that can pull you in? Yeah. And then don't you just love it when that game decides that it should crash on your top of the line computer like every five fucking minutes? Oh, you don't like that? Well neither do I dammit. Sacred 2 is a game that has the potential to be a great game, really great too, not just a game that gets a good score in a fucking magazine(Halo, Mgs4, Killzone). The problem is that the game doesn't like to be played. I have a top notch PC and I can play top tier games (crysis, Cryostasis, Fallout 3) with no problems at all on maxed or nearly maxed settings. But Sacred 2, for some reason, hated to be played. I think the developers, ascaron should have out sourced the game to blizzard, then maybe the game would have run the way it's fucking supposed to and not like a bunch of fucking retarded monkeys created this shit.(No offense to any retarded monkeys) The only reason I can think of that they wouldn't take the time to fix these bugs and release a decent game is because they hate you. And me, and every one else who plays this game, except for the one out of every 10,000 son of a bitching copies that actually fucking work. So thank you ascaron, for making a game that could have been very good, and turning it into a total piece of fucking shit.

Decline

Has anyone else besides me noticed a decline in video games? I don't mean sales, those are great. What I'm talking about is the story content and overall originality. It seems that every game that is coming out in the past few years has something to do with aliens and/or power armor of some kind. Now if you like games like Halo and all the other games just like it, good for you, you are officially part of the problem with games today, No one is looking for anyting new and fuck originality. If they go more than a minute without an alien to kill they suffer from withdrawl. We need something good to come out. Not another typical fps with no story or complex thought involved. Once in a while is ok, but this shit is retarded.

Huh?

Well I guess I should say something, since that is the point of a blog. Obviously, this is new since this is the first post. I'm sure everyone reading this has a rich life full of strange happenings on a daily basis. Either that or your a bored unhappy person with nothing better to do than listen toi mwe rabble about things that I dispise. If you fall into the latter catagory then great for you, having nothing to do sucks doesn't it? The problem is reading my insane rants will not help you in any way, but hopefully will be at least a little entertaining. Oh, did I mention that the promary focus of this blog is games. Well it is. If this bothers you, then you should leave now, and never return. I promise you have no interest in what I have to say, especially since you probably think that games are the cause of all of societies problems, and gamers think you are a complete moron. well now that I've gotten my introduction out of the way, I will soon be posting something with actual content. Enjoy.
