Oblivion, Two Worlds, Retarded stuff, D&D
Well now, it seems like I've been neglecting this foray into the world of blogging now haven't I. I guess I;ll have to blame it on someone else. Let's see, who could I blame it on. There has to be someone out there. Any volunteers? O, of course. It has to be Jack Thompson's fault, because he's an asshole. Oh, that's right folks, Good old jack is, of course trying to get his lawyer on again, which should make you happy, if you're a fucking moron. Here's the thing I don't get. He has tried to sue multiple different game companies, some of them multiple times, and has not won a singe case. Why do you think this is? Well, if you're a radical conservative, then it has to be a conspiracy. If you are someone who has some sense, and a belief in free speech, then it might be because they have done nothing wrong, they are simply exorcising there free speech. Of course good old Jack doesn't see it that way. He sees it like this. Kids are literally training themselves on violent video games to shoot up schools. And of course those same games are the things that gave them the idea for violence too. It's not like they have ever seen anything remotely violent before video games came out, right?
On to something else. Oblivion. Elder Scrolls IV. This game is fucking awesome, as I'm sure most of you already know if you've played it, and are not fucking stupid. Now that I'm thinking about it, I'm not even sure if anyone will read this, but if they do, they might get angry at me calling them retards. Now what am I gonna do? FUCK! Oh, I forgot, I don't give a fuck. You can go ahead and fuck off if you don't like it. Ok, Oblivion. I'm too lazy to explain the the game in great detail, but it basically comes down to this, it is an open-ended rpg with a huge game world and a great character development system. The landscapes are repetitive, and the voice acting is so very horrible, but the leveling system is so great that it is ok for me. Now on to a related topic.
Two Worlds. At first glance, it looks to be a carbon copy of Oblivion. In the beginning of the game, everything looks like Oblivion. Only when you play further and level up will you realize that it isn't the same at all, except for the fact that it is an open game. There is a variety in landscape and voice acting, although the acting is still horrible. The leveling system is static and based on experience. In case you didn't know static refers to the fact that the enemies in the game are not based on your level, so might find yourself outmatched in certain situations. Another thing in it's favor, the game has some fucking dragons. Oblivion is a game that was designed to have some mother fucking dragons in it, but you won't find one. this pisses me off to the extreme. Overall Oblivion is still a better game, but Two worlds is worth playing.
Now one more thing. If you play D&D, you know that some things within the world can be frustrating. They always seem to have wording issues, where certain things just don't ass up. But that isn't the point now. Me, my girlfriend, and her brother started a 3 man campaign with gestalt variant, which means you take 2 classes every level. We started the adventure, we went into battle, and my fighter/wizard was dropped near the end of the encounter and revived. Then we started fighting bears and the other two got dropped. I ran away and they went to jail. Did I mention that we were there to steal something? Well it doesn't matter, they broke out and we went out on another adventure to better prepare and we're on our way back to our main mission.
If at any time you found this to be boring and kept reading anyway, I would like to say that you should go fuck yourself. If you thought it was boring, you shouldn't have fucking read it.
