Why cops are fucking stupid.
As the title might imply, I don't like cops for the most part. The biggest reason I don't is because they come off stupid most of the time. If it is your job to enforce the law, then you should have some knowledge of it. I get stopped by cops on a fairly consistent basis for have people in the bed of my truck, as though it were illegal. The problem is, it isn't illegal. It has restrictions, like you can go no more than 35 mph, you can't travel on open highways, and anyone who is in the bed must be at least 18 years old. I follow these rules, with the occasional breaking of the speed limit one, all the time. This particular time, I was in the bed, not driving, and all the rules were followed, including the speed limit. This cop had no fucking reason to pull us over. She did it because she just wanted too, or some fucking thing. I don't fucking know, I'm not her. She pulled us over, and she starts getting all indignant. She's like, "where are you guys headed", we told where. It was kinda far. So she goes not happening. Then she goes back to her car to call it in and guess what happens when she gets back. She had to let us go. What a fucking bitch. She looked like she wanted to cry. That part was awesome. But son of a bitch, If your gonna pull someone over, know what the fuck is going on, don't be so mother fucking ignorant.

I have for the most part respect for cops that are on the beat. The ones in patrol cars and especially the ones manning phones or behind desks in my experience have proved the biggest pricks with a most undeserved arrogance. And I think the fact that they are behind a desk or manning a phone only is for a reason: they are usually too incompetent, lazy, or out of shape to be on the beat. Beat cops are usually endowed with "street smarts" intelligence and can sum up a situation readily--usually. Sure, there are dumb cops on the beat too, but the really stupid ones are the pencil-pushing, jaded morons with a false sense of power that don't have to interact with people directly. I have family in law enforcement and know they have a rough job and they complain too about the stupid cops behind the desks or the dispatchers that often cannot get their shit straight and leave little to desire in the communications department. More money needs to be allocated to hire better cops who are more intelligent (judged by raising the bar to qualify) and compensate them with better wages. Idiots should not be entrusted with potential life and death matters.
